1. First conversation
Share where you're at. You don't need to have your pathway confirmed. We'll help you understand what's likely to apply and what to look into next.
2. Pathway direction
Based on your qualifications, training and experience, we'll help you understand which registration pathway is most likely to apply. Formal determinations sit with Ahpra and the relevant Colleges (RACGP or ACRRM), but a clear sense of direction helps you plan.
3. Location shortlist
Consider climate, lifestyle, family needs, career goals and where you may be eligible to work. The Lifestyle Matcher is a good starting point.
4. Practice conversations
We introduce you to practices that fit your priorities, then help you prepare for interviews and clarify billing, hours, patient base, support and contract terms.
5. Registration and Medicare
Applications to Ahpra, specialist assessment where required and Medicare provider number arrangements. Timeframes vary by pathway and by how quickly you can gather documents.
6. Visa
If you need a visa, this typically progresses in parallel with registration. Some practices offer sponsorship. A registered migration agent handles the formal application.
7. Move and onboarding
Relocation, housing, schools, family logistics and practice onboarding. The best practices provide meaningful support here.
These stages usually overlap. Starting early and understanding the sequence tends to be the single biggest thing that keeps a move on track.
